Professional Information
An expert in macroeconomics, marketing, and ethics, Andrew John is an Associate Professor at Melbourne Business School Limited (MBS) at The University of Melbourne where he was Associate Dean for Faculty from 2016 to 2019.
Also an experienced consultant, Andrew was also Managing Director of AJK Consulting between 2002 and 2008, where he worked for many clients in South-East Asia and Europe.
Andrew received his Ph.D. from Yale University and his B.A. from University of Dublin, Trinity College. He held assistant professor positions at Michigan State University and University of Virginia and was Affiliate Professor/Senior Research Fellow at INSEAD, working at both the France and Singapore campuses where he directed two executive education programs.
At MBS, Andrew teaches Global Business Economics as well as Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility in the Executive, Senior Executive, Part-time, and Full-time MBA programs. In the past he has also taught Managerial Economics, Marketing, and Environmental Economics.
Andrew’s research has been published in leading academic journals, including The American Economic Review, Journal of Marketing, Management Science, The Quarterly Journal of Economics, and the Sloan Management Review.
Andrew is a charter member of Pelham Associates.
