An expert in organisational behaviour, Jen Overbeck is an Associate Professor of Management at Melbourne Business School Limited (MBS) at The University of Melbourne where she teaches Managing People; Negotiations; Organisational Change; Power & Influence; Influencing without Authority; Culture & Power; and Statistics.
Jen’s research focuses on power, status, and influence; negotiation; group processes; and decision making in groups. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, the Huffington Post, USA Today, and the Australian Financial Review, as well as on podcasts in the US and Australia.
An experienced consultant, Jen has worked for government agencies, middle management, and top management teams in industries such as law, medicine, retail, banking, and business services.
At MBS, Jen teaches in the MBA, Executive MBA, Senior Executive MBA, and Executive Education programs. Previously she held academic positions at the University of Utah, the University of Southern California, and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Jen is a charter member of Pelham Associates.
