An expert in macroeconomics and finance, David Frankel is a Professor of Economics at Melbourne Business School Limited (MBS) at The University of Melbourne. At MBS, David teaches Global Business Economics – a major theme of which is how to evaluate the risks and rewards of foreign direct and portfolio investments.
An experienced expert witness, David gave depositions and live testimony in numerous court cases as Chief Economist at Cambridge Economics Group (2004-2017).
His academic research has appeared in leading economics journals such as Econometrica, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Review of Economic Studies, and the Journal of Economic Theory.
David received his Ph.D. at M.I.T., his M.Sc. at Oxford where he was a Marshall Scholar, and his A.B. at Harvard. He has previously taught at Cornell, Stanford, Tel Aviv University, and Iowa State University.
David is Founder and Managing Director of Pelham Associates.
